After a successful pilot that registered thousands of voters in Alabama for Doug Jones, we’re working with Black Voters Mater, NAACP, and Mi Familia Vota to reach out to over 500,000 unregistered voters of color in Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, Nevada, and Tennessee.

Our Strategy

Unregistered voters of color use mobile phones at an extremely high rate. In November of 2017 we reached 157,740 black or female unregistered voters in Alabama on behalf of the AL NAACP before Doug Jones’ victory. Our breakthrough program used the best in cell phone data, rigorously tested messages, and trusted messengers to register new voters. Our texts produced a statistically significant boost in registration of nearly 3% against a control group.

Our Plan

We’re taking this successful pilot and scaling it to several states where large populations of unregistered voters of color may be able to ensure we win key races, including three competitive Senate races and three Governor’s races. We’re reaching out to over 500,000 unregistered voters of color in Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, Nevada, and Tennessee and working with local, trusted messengers to deliver the message.
